Emily WARNER
yOUTH oRCHESTRA MANAGER

 

Emily Warner is excited to join the NISO staff as the new Youth Orchestra manager and looks forward to working with the many talented student members of the NISOYO. 

 

Ms. Warner is a freelance bassoonist in the Northwest Indiana area.  She is currently a member of the Lafayette Symphony, where she also maintains an active teaching studio.  In the spring of 2006 Emily joined the NISO staff as an assistant to the music librarian.  Ms. Warner holds both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in bassoon performance from Indiana University where she studied with Kim Walker.  After graduating in 2004 Emily joined the "freeway philharmonic," and has performed with several orchestras including the Des Moines Symphony, Northwest Indiana Symphony, Southbend Symphony, DuPage Opera Orchestra, and the South Shore Chamber Orchestra. 

 

Originally from Santa Rosa, CA, Emily was a member of several bands, chamber groups, jazz bands, and the Santa Rosa Symphony's Youth Orchestra.  She also spent five summers working as a counselor and music coach at Donner Mine Music Camp near Lake Tahoe, CA.  Ms. Warner now lives in Valparaiso, IN.
