The Northwest Indiana Symphony Youth Orchestra provides young musicians a challenging environment for musical growth within an educational atmosphere. Besides working with gifted professional conductors and musicians, Youth Orchestra members are given the opportunity to enjoy the enrichment and challenge of performing with other serious and dedicated musicians.
The Youth Orchestra performs three major concerts each year in December, February and May.
Weekly rehearsals are held on Sundays from September through May at the Center for Visual and Performing Arts in Munster from 3-6 p.m.
Auditions for New Members are held in May with extra auditions for select instruments held in January and August.
May 28 & 29, 2013
