Cost: $6 per student
Students learn rhythms and sounds of percussion instruments and receive the opportunity to join an art instructor in an art class through the collaboration between the Northwest Indiana Symphony Orchestra and the South Shore Arts. Children will be made aware of the sounds and rhythms that surround them. Rhythm will be learned through word phrases and then the children will have an opportunity to play them on wood, metal, skin and melody percussion instruments. The art class consists of a music related art activity for the children to enjoy.
This program meets Indiana State Standards 2, 4, 5, 6 and 8.
